The Village Office is open Monday thru Friday from 8:am to 4:30pm. We close for lunch at 12:15pm to 12:45pm. We also have a drop box by the front door to to make your payments after hours.

Eagle Recycling picks up every other Wednesday. They offer free electronic pick up the last recycle day of each month 48 hours notice is required. Please give them a call before putting electronics out at 309-932-2936. They will need the property address to pick them up.

Trash Collection within the village shall be on each Wednesday. If any of these holidays fall on a Monday (New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day) pickup will be on Thursday of that week.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS: It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on any public street in the Village at any time within twelve (12) hours after a snowfall of two (2) inches or more has occurred, unless the snow has been plowed off or otherwise removed from the street.

You do not need a permit for a recreational fire. The Village only asks that you be considerate of your neighbors with noise after 10pm.

The Village allows burning of leaves every Wednesday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Please be considerate of you neighbors while burning. Do Not leave your fire unattended and have water available to put it out.

You can call the Village Office to have a couch or Large Item picked up by Peterson Disposal for a small fee (nothing with anti-freeze inside such as a refrigerator will be picked up). Payment is to be left at the Village of with property address and they will pick it up on trash day. Please give 24 hour notice.

Building Permits are required for most all home construction projects. You do not need a Building Permit for privacy fences or concrete work. You can view the City Ordinance, Fee Schedule, and print a application under Services on this website. Please contact The Village Office at 309-937-2570 if you have any questions.

Any swimming pool over 18 inches deep must have a fence around it at least 4 feet tall. Please see attached ordinance and if you have any additional questions please call the Village Office at 309-937-2570.

Call the Village office at 309-937-2570 or fill out this online form to reserve your park shelter at Hand Park or College Square Park. There is no cost to you to rent a shelter for your special event.
