Public Safety
Cambridge is home to the Henry County Sheriff’s department and has emergency medical and fire services that serve the village and surrounding community.
Pictured is a $1.5 million Fire, Ambulance and Police facility. The facility sits on three acres of land; one acre was donated by the Winter family and two by the Village of Cambridge. The facility has a community meeting room for the public and can also be used in emergencies for a warming or cooling center.
The are two-dozen volunteer firefighters who provide top of the line around the clock service. Equipped with up-to-date equipment, the district provides 24/7 service to Cambridge and four surrounding Townships. With an all volunteer force there are several EMT's that maintain two ambulances and provide 24/7 intermediate medical care.
The Village contracts with the Henry County Sheriff's Department to provide 24/7/365 police protection.
