Adding Water Service- When a water service is requested for a new service, a water form is filled out, which entails getting a current read on the water meter for the given date. If the property is a rental, $50.00 is due before water bill will be placed in a new name. If the occupant moves, the deposit will be applied to the final bill or a refund will be issued, no transfer will be made from one property to the next.
Discontinuing Service- When a water service request is made to discontinue service, again water read will be issued for the given date and a final bill will be forwarded to address given by the requester. Please keep in mind the bills are a month behind, so from the date of change you have approximately 28 days previous usage that is going to reflect that final bill. The bill then goes back into the home owner's name until further notice is given.
Shutting Water off at Curb- If an owner wants water shut off at the curb, it must be requested verbally and preferably in writing. There is a $25.00 turn off fee, along with a $25.00 turn on fee. We like to have at least a two day notice for either request, however we do recognize emergencies and unplanned events. No water will be shut off at the curb after 3:00pm daily or on weekends & holidays.
Home Owner Responsibility- It is the home owners responsibility of the water pipes from the curb stop shut off to the house AND anything inside the house.
