   Village office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am 12:15 pm and 12:45 pm to 4:30 pm               

The Clerk's office hours vary from Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  

Water Maintenance hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. 

 

Q.  When are bills mailed out?  

        On or before the 9th day of each month.
 
 

Q.  When are bills due?  

        Bills are due the second to the last working day of every month. 
        If your bill is paid after that day a penalty of 10% is applied.  
       
Payments can be mailed, brought into the office, dropped in the slot on the side of the buidling beside the front door  at 124 West Exchange Street, or dropped off at Bank Orion in Cambridge.
 
Q. Can I have my water bill taken out of my checking?    
     Yes, the ACH application below is to be filled out and the original to be dropped off.
     This will assure your water bill is paid on the due date.
     The due date is the day before the last working day of the month.

Q.   Do you take credit cards?  No

Q.   How much is the water deposit?      
       On any rental property there is a $50.00 deposit that is due before service is connected. 
 
Q.  Receiving Bill-If my bill is late due to Postal Service delays, can I have my penalty removed?    
       No, as stated on the back of the water bill, failure to receive bill does not exempt customer from penalty.
 
Q.  I had a water leak at my residence or my rental property, can I have my water bill adjusted? 
        Except for December, there is a Water Review Committeethat meets on the
        3rd Monday's at Village Administrative offices 124 West Exchange.It is recommended that a written request be given to
        Paula Pool the Village Clerk prior to meeting regarding concern.  
 
Q.  How do I check my toilet for a leak.  
       Place a few drops of food coloring in the tank, enough to have the water change color. 
       Then wait approximately 10 minutes without flushing; if you have any color in the bowl of the toilet-                           You have a leak.  
 
 
 
 
Q. Estimated Water Bills.
      As stated said on the back of your water bill, 
 
 
     When unable to obtain a meter reading, an estimated bill will be  prepared based on the average consumption during the previous three similar period.   
      If there is no basis for estimating consumption, a minimum will be prepared.    
      The next actual reading will adjust the bill.
